At ɬ, we understand the importance of academic achievement and are extremely proud of our pupils’ exam results. Each year, cohorts achieve outstanding grades – a reflection of their ambition and dedication to their studies, as well as the fantastic support offered by staff at school. Comparably higher than the national average, the quality of our exam results solidifies ɬ’s status as one of the UK’s leading independent schools.
Over the years, GCSE results have been consistently exceptional. The academic year 2025-26 saw ɬnians uphold the stellar standards set in the years prior. Our results in Maths and English were markedly higher in comparison to the national average. More than four fifths of all GCSE papers were graded 9-4 (A*-C), reflecting pupils’ commitment to their studies. Highlights included a 100% pass rate in Art, with all grades within the 9-4 boundary, while one third of pupils studying French achieved a grade 9. Separate Sciences and History also performed strongly, with 85% of grades awarded at 9-4.
The same can be said of A Level results. In 2026, pupils at ɬ achieved an overall pass rate of 96.3%, in line with previous years. A remarkable 16 out of 19 subjects saw pupils achieve A*-A grades. Strong results were recorded in Modern Foreign Languages (French, German, Spanish) – with 100% of grades being within the A*-C boundary, including 100% A* in German. These excellent A Level results translated into acceptances at top universities, both in the UK and at international destinations.
BTEC results saw similar success in 2026, with a 100% pass rate, and 94.4% of pupils achieving Distinction* – Merit grades across all BTEC subjects.
The academic excellence of ɬ attests to the well-rounded, personalised education offered here. Every student is supported to find and foster their interests, realise their potential, and unlock future opportunities.
